Santa Fe police arrest man accused of making bomb threats at hospital and church 

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – On February 11, 2025, Santa Fe police responded to bomb threats at San Miguel Church and Christus Saint Vincent Hospital. After responding and investigating, law enforcement determined there was no threat and identified 32-year-old Manuel Mariano Chavez as a suspect.

Officers located an apartment complex where Chavez was at and after a brief struggle he was taken into custody. A police service dog specializing in explosive detection was utilized and no explosives or bomb-making materials were found at the apartment. Chavez was arrested and charged with making unlawful threats and resisting arrest.
