NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The New Mexico Film Office is announcing the feature film, “Protector” is filming in Las Cruces through February.
The film is written by Bob Seob Mun, directed by Adrian Grunberg and features Milla Jovovich. The story follows a former military mother who returns home seeking a new start with her daughter. After a human trafficking syndicate comes into their world, the mother must use her skills to protect her family.
“‘Protector’ is a great example of how New Mexico’s film incentives and strategic partnerships are attracting major productions to our state,” Director of the New Mexico Film Office Steve Graham said in a release. The film is part of New Mexico’s film partner program with 828 Productions. The production employs about 295 New Mexicans, featuring 225 background actors and 70 crew members.
