8 cattle killed in Moriarty truck crash 

MORIARTY, N.M. (KRQE) –  A semi-truck rollover crash left eight cattle dead Wednesday night in Moriarty.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. on Interstate 40 at mile marker 197, according to the City of Moriarty Fire Department. The driver and 35 other cattle were able to get out of the truck safely.

The fire department said local ranchers helped transport the cattle, which are being housed at a local fair grounds.
