Does New Mexico have any cities on best and worst budgeters list? 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Making and sticking to a budget can be difficult and a number of factors play a role in budgeting. A recent survey by WalletHub found 74% of Americans say rising costs are their biggest budget challenge. WalletHub released a study on the cities with the best and worst budgeters. In the study they compared 180 cities across 12 metrics including average credit score, spending and debt, savings and more.

New Mexico has two cities ranking on the bottom half of the list with Albuquerque ranking 112 overall and Las Cruces ranking 150 overall. The cities were ranked near the bottom of the savings category, Albuquerque ranked 130 and Las Cruces ranked 171 in this category.
