NAVAJO NATION (KRQE) – A Navajo New Mexico man was sentenced to federal prison for sexually exploiting a minor through text messages and social media, according to the Department of Justice.
According to court documents, between Feb. 1, 2021, and April 1, 2021, Dustin Rockmen, 33, sent text and Facebook messages to a minor under the age of 18 to persuade her to have sex with him.

Rockmen and the victim had sex, and he threatened her in order to get her to continue engaging with him. The DOJ said he also shared an inappropriate image of the victim and sent pornographic material to the victim.
He was sentenced to 17 years in prison, and when released, Rockmen will be subject to five years of supervised release.
