NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Two of New Mexico’s most wanted fugitives were arrested on January 28 in a multi-agency operation, according to the New Mexico Corrections Department.

Michael Garcia, 46, and Eric Edwards, 36, were arrested in Bernalillo County during the operation. Officials say the pair were wanted for violent crimes. Narcotics and 16 firearms were also seized during the operation. “This operation highlights the strength and effectiveness of collaboration among local, state, and federal agencies. By pooling our resources and expertise, we were able to arrest these dangerous individuals and remove them from our community,” NMCD Cabinet Secretary Alisha Tafoya Lucero said in a release.
