Warmer weather will continue to move in through the weekend. Winds will pick up through Saturday afternoon across eastern parts of New Mexico, with wind gusts up to 45 mph possible. Winds will be lighter on Sunday, but temperatures will be even higher. A couple of record-high temperatures are possible Sunday afternoon.

The warmest weather will move in Monday through Wednesday next week. Record and near-record high temperatures are likely across New Mexico with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s, 70s, and even 80s. A weak weather disturbance crossing Colorado could bring in a few spotty showers into southern Colorado and some light snow to the peaks of the northern mountains on Wednesday. Temperatures will dip slightly after Wednesday but will stay well above average for early February into the end of next week.
