Santa Fe County deputies rescue child from burning home

SANTA FE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Two Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office deputies rescued a child from a burning home Monday morning.

Deputies responded to a fully engulfed structure fire just before 6 a.m. Deputy Rudy Vallejo and Deputy Levi Abeyta jumped into action, saving one child who was trapped in the home and assisting another child. Both children are receiving emergency medical care, according to the sheriff’s office.
