ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man who raped a child at a cemetery was sentenced to prison on Tuesday.
In October, a jury convicted Reynaldo Sandoval of three counts of criminal sexual penetration with a child under 13, one count of criminal sexual contact with a child under 13, and one count of bribery.

Sandoval took advantage of a young family member at a Northeast Albuquerque cemetery in February 2020, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Judge Joseph Montano sentenced him to 57 years in prison.
In 2006, Sandoval was indicted on two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor. The case went to trial twice; however, both ended in mistrials.
