Former New Mexico track coach who sexted with student sentenced to probation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A former Sandia Preparatory School track coach will avoid any prison time after admitting to sexting with a student. Treyjan Felipe pled guilty to two counts of criminal sexual communication with a minor and criminal solicitation with an electronic device last month. In 2023, Felipe used social media to send explicit photos of himself to a student and asked for sex.

Judge Brit Baca sentenced him to five years of supervised probation and he will have to register as a sex offender.
