ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A former Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputy found out just how long he’ll be behind bars for tipping off a drug dealer prior to a 2021 raid. According to the feds, then-deputy Kyle Linker made calls to a drug dealer, who was also a confidential informant, about the feds targeting him for selling drugs.
The feds say he interfered with a United States Drug Enforcement Administration investigation. Linker pled guilty to obstruction of justice in September of last year. On Friday, he was sentenced to 30 days in federal prison with the remaining seven months to be served under house arrest.
