NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Albuquerque Little Theatre is aiming to provide a small stipend to artists who do shows at its Pocket Theatre.
Through the initiative Albuquerque Little Theatre plans to pay each pocket performer a base of $25. Marketing Manager Christy Burbank says there will also be QR codes where audience members can essentially tip the actors if they enjoy the show. Those funds will be divided equally among the actors for that pocket show.
The Pocket is an 8-foot by 20-foot stage in an intimate with 40 to 50 seats. The theatre is open to anyone wishing to put on a production. Anyone interested in utilizing the Pocket can speak with Albuquerque Little Theatre about their ideas. For more information, click here.
