ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Jackson Wink is a world-famous mixed martial arts training gym, and on Saturday, it showcased its adaptive fighting team, putting it all on the mat to show what they know.
The event allows adaptive fighting students to perform MMA skills they have learned over the year in front of a crowd of friends and family.
Organizers said it helps showcase all the various types of fighting they’re learning while also allowing the students to step into the spotlight for a bit.

Coaches also tested their students for belts and event recognition awards for the top of the class.
Jackson Wink teachers said the program also demonstrates the beneficial aspects of mixed martial arts, such as compassion, teamwork, communication, and motor planning.
