VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The Valencia County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a shooting, according to New Mexico State Police, which is investigating the incident.

State Police said one person was shot and died near the 100 block of La Ladera. All deputies were said to be fine. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
