New Mexico Community Capital celebrating 20-year anniversary and expansion 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The nonprofit, New Mexico Community Capital (NMCC) is about to celebrate is celebrating its 20th anniversary in October and will be showcasing indigenous artisans and other entrepreneurs as park of the First Friday ABQ Art Walk.


Indigenous group heads to DC to fight for radiation compensation

NMCC has a mission of helping indigenous-owned businesses with mentorship, financial literacy, technical assistance and more to support a more equitable future to indigenous people. NMCC recently expanded into the Occidental Life Building in downtown Albuquerque. This new space will give the organization a chance to increase its storefront and business courses. It also includes a sound room, meditation rom and indigenous seed library.

To celebrate 20 years and the expansion, NMCC will be part of the First Friday ABQ Art Walk from 6 – 9 p.m. on October 4th.
