ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man is facing several charges after pointing a gun at passing cars in southeast Albuquerque. Joel Cereceres was arrested on Friday night on Charleston street. A neighbor told Albuquerque police officers that Cereceres pointed a gun at him when he went outside to see why so many cars were honking. Multiple witnesses told investigators that he pointed the gun at them as they drove by. Cereceres was taken into custody, after dropping the gun.
Officers found out it was a modified BB gun that was meant to look like a real gun. They also found meth in his pocket. Cereceres was charged with aggravated assault and possession.
