Rain continues across New Mexico Today. Drier conditions will return tomorrow.
Today is shaping up to be another active day for rain across New Mexico. Showers and storms have already begun to pop up around the northwest, central, and in the mountains. As we move into the late afternoon and early evening the rain will transition further east. By the evening the rain will be concentrated to the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez Mountains. As well as the New Mexico/ Texas border.
Dry air will overtake New Mexico on Wednesday. This will result in no rain chances across the entire state. The dry air will stick around through Thursday. Another result of the dry air will be warming temperatures across eastern New Mexico. Roswell and other locations in the southeast could be facing more record breaking high temperatures.
Moisture will be brought back up into New Mexico on Friday. Resulting in isolated showers in eastern New Mexico. This isolated rain will continue through the week and impact the northern and eastern regions of New Mexico. Temperatures will begin to cool off across Central and Northern New Mexico over the weekend. Just in time for the start of Fall on Sunday!
