LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico Courts will be holding a safe surrender event in Las Cruces for those with active arrest warrants.
Anyone with warrants around the state is being encouraged to surrender at the event.
Officials stated those who voluntarily appear will receive favorable consideration when requesting new court dates, payment plans, or other options to comply with court orders.
Authorities also said safe surrender events from June 2023 to April 2024 have resolved over 2,000 cases.
The safe surrender will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Doña Ana County Magistrate Court.
