Game of the Week
The game of the week was a matchup of undefeated Bernalillo against 2-1 Moriarty. The Spartans’ “Goon Squad” was all over the field in a 42-0 win.
“Well, one of the things I like is our physicality, said Bernalillo head coach John Cobos. “We understood that Moriarty is going to be a physical team and we were trying to stop the run. Our kids are getting after it and so I really like our physicality right now.”

The Numbers Game
Entering the week, Centennial averaged a historic scoring pace. Though the first three games, the Hawks averaged 53 points per game. In New Mexico high school football history, there have only ever been two teams (2004 Hatch Valley and 2010 Aztec) to finish a 13-game season with at least a 50 point per game average.

During Las Cruces’ week 3 victory over Rio Rancho, Bulldawgs running back Daniel Amaro found the end zone four times, including a 75 yard punt return and a 65 yard rushing score.
