Colfax County Sheriff Deputies arrested Enriquez Cortez Thursday September 12, 2024, in connection with the shooting that took place in Raton’s east side back on August 24, 2024.
According to the press release Deputies received word where they could find Cortez. Deputies quickly responded to the location in question and after a short standoff they established contact with Cortez and were able to take him into custody with out incident.
Cortez was wanted on an active arrest warrant and will be charged with additional charges in connection with the shooting.
