Temperatures were hot today for most of New Mexico. Central down to Southern New Mexico will see high’s today in the 90’s. Down in the Southeast, Roswell broke their record high, surpassing the previous record of 98° set back in 2019.
Spotty Showers will return to Southern and Western New Mexico on Saturday. However, this rain will be minimal. The best chance for rain on Saturday will be in the Sacramento Mountains.
On Sunday moisture returns to the state. A tropical storm off the Coast of Mexico/ California will allow for large amounts of sub-tropical moisture to be funneled into New Mexico. On Sunday, scattered storms will be nearly statewide. This moisture will stick around into early next week providing scattered to widespread storms on Monday and Tuesday.
