The defense told the jury that Borrecco was concerned that the men up to no good and that the former BCSO deputy was following his training. The state argues Borrecco abused his power and committed assault when he pulled out his gun on the two men. Borrecco is on trial for assault and gun charges. If convicted, Borrecco faces up to a year and a half behind bars.
