Michael Ruiz, one of the men who claim Borrecco pointed a gun at them, testified in court. Ruiz said he saw Borrecco touch his gun, which was holstered on his hip, after he and the other man involved Deaven Carey walked in. He elaborated that he saw Borrecco buy a bottle of vodka before making his own purchase. Ruiz also admitted to giving the cashier fentanyl, but said it was after Borrecco left the store.
The state played new video showing Ruiz and Carey walking over to Borrecco’s vehicle, where they say he pulled a gun on them. The trial is scheduled to end Wednesday.
