Santa Fe homeless shelter to give presentation to county commissioners 

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A homeless shelter that some Santa Fe residents say is a cause for concern is looking to the county for help. Pete’s Place is set to give a presentation to county commissioners, arguing its facility is too small and requesting help find a new property.

The shelter says relocating and and increasing space for homeless community members will decrease the amount of people congregating on the streets. Residents pointed out this issue at a recent city council meeting. Some neighbors have voiced concerns over rumors that Pete’s Place might be relocated to an old Juvenile detention facility in Santa Fe’s south side. City and shelter officials have stated there are no plans to move the shelter to that property.
