CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – A Clovis man learned his fate on Tuesday for disarming an officer and battery on an officer. Last November, police responded to a domestic dispute on Maple Street in Clovis.
Police said they tried to arrest 25-year-old Jose Villalta but he hit one of the officers and grabbed another officer’s taser. Villalta was sentenced to eight years behind bars.
