ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – September has arrived and Sarah East from Visit Albuquerque has a list of things happening around the city this month.
September 5 to September 15. The state fair is gearing up and getting ready to welcome big crowds who will pack the Expo New Mexico fairgrounds. People will be able to enjoy the usual fair activities, food and entertainment along with plenty of new things at the 2024 fair.
Bands of Enchantment Season 4 Filming
September 12 – 15 at the KiMo Theater. The television show will be filming at KiMo theater. Anyone interested in being part of the audience can purchase tickets. Bands of Enchantment is a show that celebrates music, diversity and New Mexico.
September 26 – 28 at Albuquerque Museum and Albuquerque Civic Plaza. Guests can enjoy global exploration with diverse live music, dance, film, food, crafts, workshops, activities and more.
New Mexico Prickly Pear Festival
September 27 – 28 at Gutierrez – Hubbell house Museum. Guests can enjoy food, music, arts and crafts and everything prickly pear. There will be cooking demos, workshops and more focusing on prickly pear.
September 29 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Expo New Mexico. The annual Japanese fall festival will include musical demonstrations, food, cultural exhibits, art and more all celebrating Aki Matsuri.
