ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The person responsible for a deadly hit-and-run last year will spend two years behind bars. Police said a driver of a red Ford Focus was driving near Constitution and Louisiana in July of 2023 when they hit and killed a pedestrian before taking off.
The car was registered to Christopher Trammell III who now identifies as Tara Trammell. They reported their car missing the following day. In May, they pled guilty to leaving the scene of a crash and tampering with evidence. The homicide by vehicle charges were dropped. Trammell was sentenced to two years in jail.
