Santa Fe police arrest man accused of trying to sexually assault two girls 

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Santa Fe Police Department arrested 18-year-old Alvaro Luna Huereca who was accused of trying to sexually assault two girls. On August 16, a juvenile told police that she was leaving Capitol High School when a man attacked her and tried to sexually assault her. She screamed for help and that’s when he took off on a bike.


Man who fled Albuquerque police sentenced to 3 years in plea deal

On August 20, a different juvenile told police that while she walking home from Capital High School a male ran up behind her, grabbed her, and put his hand over her mouth. She was thrown to the ground. The suspect fled when he was told police were on their way.

The students gave the same description which led police to Luna Huererca. Police said Luna Huereca admitted to being the suspect in both incidents. Luna Huereca was arrested and charged with six counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of false imprisonment.
