Starting Sept. 1, New Mexico SNAP/TANF recipients will have to interview for benefits 

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Families receiving help from SNAP and TANF will soon have an extra step to get their food benefits. Starting on September 1, the state will require an interview to claim the assistance they qualify for.


ABQ Ride suspending services on Labor Day

For years, the interview was a requirement until it was waived during the COVID-19 health emergency. Starting on October 1, new applicants to either program will require an interview to establish eligibility.
