NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) says they are making it easier for families in need to get help raising children. With Home Visiting Services, families with children under five years old can call a program partner to come to their home, and answer questions about child raising – like pre-natal care, safe sleeping habits for children, and breastfeeding.
“ECECD is working to make life-changing early childhood programs like Home Visiting more accessible to New Mexico families,” says ECECD Cabinet Secretary Elizabeth Groginsky. “Whether it’s your first child or your fourth, home visitors are your trusted partners in parenting, helping you navigate the joys and challenges of caring for young children.”
To get started, people are invited to go to the “Am I Eligible?” portal online. More information is available on the ECECD website.
