Southeast New Mexico will continue to see the lowest chances for rain with high temperatures flirting with the triple digits through the day today.
The rest of the state will see isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some rain showers may even stick around Saturday night into Sunday before more storms develop this afternoon.
Even more monsoon moisture will stream into New Mexico early next week. This could increase the chance of rain even more so next Monday afternoon, with a good chance for rain into Tuesday. This will also bring high temperatures back to near and cooler than normal, finally, for much of the state. There is some uncertainty between forecast models starting next Wednesday though as to where the monsoon moisture will continue to stick around.
The bottom line is that we will see some slightly drier weather return to New Mexico on Wednesday and Thursday before another surge of monsoon moisture moves in next Friday.
