ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – At the age of 52, Manny Ramirez says he’s still got it. He’s not taking any cuts with a major league team. Ramirez is swinging for fun these days, participating in the MLB-backed event called Home Run Derby X.
The event is in Albuquerque for a competition. Other former big league players joining Ramirez in the fun are Jonny Gomes, Ian Desmond, and Ryan Zimmerman. Each will lead a co-ed team of competitors.
Ramirez is in Van Tate’s Sports Office this week, talking about Home Run Derby X, his past baseball career, and the work that he does today.
