ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The 2024 high school football season officially kicked off on Thursday night with two games in the Albuquerque metro. Here is a look at the scores and some of the highlights.
Atrisco Heritage hosted Rio Rancho at Community Stadium. After an opening drive touchdown by the Jags, the Rams offense controlled a majority of the game. Rio Rancho won the game 54-15.
Sandia welcomed class 6A newcomer Piedra Vista to Wilson Stadium. The boys from PV made their presence known quickly, especially on the ground, as the Panthers won 28-7.
