FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police are searching for a man after an officer was shot at during a traffic stop in Farmington on Monday.

Police listed Fernando Silva as a suspect and said he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 505-841-9256.
Officials said the officer is “ok.” Details are limited at this time. New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler will be holding a press conference at 2:30 p.m.
