MORIARTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico student is in the running for an award from FFA. Moriarty High School graduate Wylie Schwebach is a finalist for the national FFA American Star Award.
The organization said his work on a 2,500-acre irrigated farm saved nearly 50% on transportation costs, labor, and time securing his spot in the contest’s agricultural placement category. A panel of judges will now interview the finalists and the winners will be revealed in Indianapolis this fall.
